No sequel for Serenity?

I can't believe Serenity tanked so bad at the box office. The fairly low budge $39 million dollar movie only made a total gross of just over $30 million worldwide. I came upon this quote here (http://www.newu.uci.edu/article.php?id=4118).

With the actors already under contract for two sequels, look for "Serenity" to become part of a trilogy should the movie do well in the box office and DVD sales.

We already know it didn’t do well at the box office, so all the Firefly fans need to buy the DVD!!! I have to admit I am one of the guilty ones- I was hoping to watch all 13 episodes of Firefly from season one before I saw the movie. Unfortunately the movie was not in theaters very long and I was one week short of getting to see it in the theaters. I only hope this was the case for everyone instead of the interest just not being there.

If you have not seen Firefly yet I suggest you rent it from Netflix or Blockbuster online.
