uber geek uber geeky Apparently Ben thought the song was fitting, so he took the time to write out the whole song (based on Super Freak). At first I couldn't believe they were calling me a geek, then I thought, how many geeks have their own theme song? This makes me more than just a regular geek. This makes me an Uber Geek. Uber Geek by Ben
He's a very geeky boy, The kind that will fix your PC The boy is really smart now (That boys an uber geek) He's a very special geek, (the kind of geek you want to know)
From his fingers to brain, (up to his brain, yeah)
Yes he will wait to fix my PC with his other geeky friends, in his pinto green
(Going back in Office)
Three PC not a problem he says, (Fix them all, ooh, la-la!)
Cube 314 he is waiting
When I get there he is drinking Dew and playing doom,
It's such a geeky scene

However I understand that the Beta will not be as visually impressive as the final release, or even Beta 2. Screenshots are taken using the standard Windows Vista Beta 1 theme Aero. I expect the look of Windows Vista will improve drastically as new versions are released and graphic card makes have a wider range of suitable video card drivers. It looks like Beta 1 has been stripped of its bells and whistles. Click to enlarge
August 03, 2005August 02, 2005Windows Vista Beta 1Unless you have been living under a rock you know that Microsoft has been making a new version of Windows. Previously it was known as code name ‘Longhorn’, but has recently been officially named Windows Vista.
Last night I downloaded the new Windows Vista Beta 1. It was a grooling 9 hour download. It should have been faster, but the MSDN (Microsoft Developer Network) server was only transferring at a rate of 70-80 kbs. I would have thought they would have faster servers. When the massive 2.5G ISO file was completed I burn the image to DVD. Now all I have to do it install it. Unfortunately I am at work right now so I can't. When I get it installed I will be sure to upload some screenshots. |
