November 2, 2004Chattanooga AerialI haven't had much time to post because of school. I found this aerial shot of all the development being done in Downtown Chattanooga on the 21st Century Riverfront Project website, so I thought I would post it. If you are not familiar with Chattanooga it is a small town in South TN. All the brown dirt you see are all the parts under construction. Click to enlarge. Comments
Gosh, I thought all the brown dirt was some yuppy architect's idea of nouveau landscaping. Posted by: Joshua at November 2, 2004 9:14 AMI was noticing the Hunter Museum of American Art on my way across Veterans Bridge this morning and it hit me that between the old civil war type mansion, the 70 retro look, and the new addition that looks like I don’t know what the HMAA has to be the ugliest museum in America. Really. Maybe in 100 years someone will say it is a work of art, but to me it just looks odd and out of place. Check out the museum web site. They have a live came where you can watch the construction take place. I also think it looks out of place. I am not one for the Post Modern style anyway. I hope they will at least renovate the other two to make them match a little more. Posted by: Jason at November 2, 2004 10:47 AMPost a comment
