The Happy Poem

A lot of people use their blogs as creative outlets in many different ways. One of the things I see people do is write poems. Most of the poems I read seem to be a bit depressing or dark so I wanted to balance all the depressing poems with the ultimate happiest poem every written on any blog (as of this posting anyway). And just remember, poems can be happy too. Guaranteed to be happy or your money back or a nice snuggly choice of baby carriers at Fox Den Lane.

The Happy Poem By Jason Davis

Butterfly ribbons and ice cream delight
Money everywhere falling from the sky
Everything wrong has been made right
Now we have clean burning fuel and even space flight

Mystical lands once far away
Now in our backyard for us to go play
Magical stars show us the way
Light years we travel but we make it okay

Brilliant colors fill the air
Look now I have all my hair
Everything I ever lost
Is now setting in this giant pot

Love and Joy fills the room
Look I just found a magic broom
I soar high above the clouds
Right beside me are all my pals

Everything in the world is right
All the blind now have their sight
All the people sing in joy
In perfect harmony for all to enjoy

Jason do you remember that book we all tried to write as a group. You should start a new poem and let people comment on what they think the next stanza should be. Well I’m not sure that will really work…never mind.

Puppy ears and candied toes
I’m trolling for a puppy’s nose.

*edit* oh yeah, the program I wrote and the database the book was stored in were lost when my server's HD crashed.

a tear trickled down her cheek
look at her she is so meek
i can not do this every week
for poems make me feel so bleak

i couldn't help but cast some typical poem prose ;)

i just came accross ur poem in a search for some lyrics 2 put to a song iv written for my Music GCSE and the 1st and last stanze fit perfectly! i love ur poem, hope u don't mind me using it.
