January 04, 2005Reply to Comment about CloserI had a funny comment to my last post and I wanted it to make sure everyone reads it. First let me add a disclaimer to my site. DISCLAIMER Okay so that was just a joke... Anyway the comment was from Mr. X. I call him Mr. X to protect his identity, although his real name is Josh, and he works with me. :) Mr. X wrote: your proof that movie critics pretend to like certain movies for their own benefit is based on your dislike of the same movie? Wow.My proof was actually recorded on film. See Exhibit A. Mr. X wrote: Tell me Jason, what does a "real movie" encompass?Let me back up. I didn't realize that would be taken at face value. Let me clarify. Just as me setting up a video camera and pointing it at the pavement in front of my house for two hours is by definition a "real movie" so is Closer. However, like my movie about the pavement, Closer has just about the same plot line, progression, drama, action, and character development. If you consider Closer to be a real movie, you must also consider my similar, but much better movie, The Pavement to be a real movie. Although, I am sure it would not get as good reviews because it isn't sleazy enough. Posted by GraphicMD at January 4, 2005 11:24 AM | TrackBack |
