November 17, 2004Mozilla Released Prematurely??
I recently found out that Mozilla prematurely released Firefox 1.0 with a known bug. I was frustrated because the web poll I wrote for myOSP wasn’t rendering correctly. If a table width is set to 55% (choose any number under 100) it would often expand to 100% anyway. The fix was to hold Ctrl and press + (plus) which will increase the font size, then hold Ctrl and press – (minus) to lower the font size back. This will force the page to render again and fix the layout. Apparently this was a known bug and Mozilla has a fix for it, but it was just left out of the 1.0 release.
